In a world where stress, sadness and depression are considered clinical maladies, the world needs a bright spot, a breath of fresh air. CHAZZ WILLIAMS is one such bright light and the music he breathes through his Saxophone washes over us like a summer breeze.

 

CHAZZ WILLIAMS is an artist with a unique style of Inspirational, instrumental music.  Being a native of Chicago, his music reflects elements of the Chicago smooth Jazz sound. He studied classical and jazz music throughout high school, but turned down music scholarships and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. 

 

CHAZZ has also founded his own organization called OUTER COURT PRAISE (OCP), which was designed to inspire and encourage others and allows him to share his music and work in a variety of settings.  According to CHAZZ, a gifted saxophonist and percussionist, “music should evolve as the artist grows, it should express the heart and experiences of the player. I believe my music very simply expresses divine love…” Whether he’s recording, playing a nightclub, or revisiting his roots performing in one of his local JAZZ STREET PARTIES, all are driven by a positive undercurrent that comes from this sense of purpose.

 

CHAZZ has appeared on the BET JAZZ NETWORK, and has performed at the Gospel Music Stellar Awards. He has also performed for our President on the nationally televised PBS special, IN PERFORMANCE AT THE WHITE HOUSE.

Additionally CHAZZ has toured as a member of the Cece Winans band, and has shared concert stages with such artists as Anita Baker, Joshua Redmond, THE O’JAYS, Daryl Coley, Richard Smallwood, Fred Hammond, and THE WINANS.

 

He has been side - man for Israel Houghton,  Kim Burrell, Michael English, Shirley Caesar, Tramaine Hawkins, Donnie McClurkin, Ben Tankard and The Soul Children of Chicago, to name a few.

 

CHAZZ has opened for renowned poet and author Maya Angelou, famed motivational speaker Les Brown and has performed before Chicago Bulls’ Michael Jordan, at his Chicago – based foundation events. CHAZZ has performed concerts in the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico. He has also performed sold out OCP shows in many of our nations’ finest concert halls.

 

CHAZZ recently appeared at Grammy 365 (The Recording Academy) Nashville Soul event for select urban songwriters,  and launched the release of his much anticipated iJazz recording, “PAID IN FULL”. This recording landed him the coveted title "Artist of The Week" on Jazzy 88 WFSK radio in Nashville, TN right out of the gate!
